Be the trusted voice at the heart of community consultation, working alongside Traditional Owners with respect for culture, knowledge, and connection to Country to facilitate meaningful conversations, support informed decisions, and help deliver outcomes that make a genuine difference for communities.
About the Role
As a Consultation and Administration Officer, you'll play an important role in supporting Traditional Owners to make informed decisions about the distribution of income generated from Aboriginal land. Working at the heart of community engagement, you'll coordinate and support consultations, organise meetings, record community instructions, and prepare documentation that ensures decisions are accurately captured and payments are processed efficiently and in accordance with legislative requirements.
In this role, you'll build strong and respectful relationships with Traditional Owners, community groups, and stakeholders, providing clear information and administrative support that helps people navigate processes with confidence. You'll work closely with the Coordinator, Benefits Distribution (Consultation and Administration), and colleagues across the Northern Land Council to ensure consultations are culturally appropriate, well-organised, and professionally documented.
Every day offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful outcomes for Aboriginal communities. Whether you're facilitating consultation processes, supporting decision-making, maintaining accurate records, or coordinating key administrative activities, your work will help ensure the voices of Traditional Owners are heard, respected, and reflected in decisions that matter to them and their communities.
